Founding Principal

 

David Davis has more than 30 years of experience as a designer and project manager and has compiled an extensive portfolio of corporate, hospitality and residential interior projects over his distinguished career.

Mr. Davis began his career in 1985 in the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He later moved to Los Angeles to work on the Getty Center with Richard Meier & Partners. Davis returned to New York to head Skidmore’s interior design department. Mr. Davis later joined Lauren Rottet and Richard Riveire in 2008 to form Rottet Studio.

As Managing Principal, Mr. Davis oversees the active and diverse interior architecture and design practice of the firm’s three national offices in Houston, Los Angeles and New York. Prior to his transition into project management, Mr. Davis was an active participant in the design of multiple projects of varying scales, including high rise towers in the U.S. and abroad. His project management experience includes numerous high profile projects, including MetLife, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Conde Naste, Deloitte, and Elliott Management.

Mr. Davis also brings a wealth of hospitality design and management experience, including the Four Seasons City Santa Fe in Mexico City, the Hilton Mangaf Resort in Kuwait, Hyatt Regency Global Headquarters in Chicago, The James Royal Palm in Miami Beach, The Surrey and Affinia Shelburne Hotels in New York, St. Regis Resort in Aspen, Loews Hotels in Montreal and Denver, and W Hotel and condominium projects in La Jolla, Huntington Beach and Denver.
