Richard Riveire is a design professional with more than 20 years experience shaping the modern workplace. With long-term partner Lauren Rottet, FAIA, he has built Rottet Studio into one of the most respected interior architecture firms in the world. The firm now boasts more than 30 million square feet of project experience with best of class professionals in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Washington DC, San Francisco, Scottsdale and Shanghai.

As Principal, Mr. Riveire leads projects with a deep understanding of the process of creating workplace environments that visually reflect the culture of the client. Balancing aesthetic and spatial considerations with marketplace realities and a concern for the quality of the workplace, Rottet Studio has built a reputation for designs that are successful both in responding to client requirements and in setting new standards in highly competitive business environments.

Mr. Riveire has played a key role in expanding Rottet Studio’s design reach to Asia. He has cultivated relationships with respected clients throughout the Pacific Rim with prestigious projects completed in Hong Kong, South Korea, the People’s Republic of China, Indonesia, and Singapore. Mr. Riveire’s international experience includes the 100,000 m2 headquarters for Korea Development Bank in Seoul, The Bank of China’s Shanghai Headquarters, and offices for Pontiac Land developers in Singapore.

Mr. Riveire has extended his unique vision to the design of award-winning furntiure and products for several respected manufacturers. In addition to the popular Attache’ series of casegoods for Halcon, on which he teamed with Lauren Rottet, Mr. Riveire’s product collections include the Lineal seating series for Halcon, Manele and Sterling lounge seating and table collections for Martin Brattrud, and the elegant Tableau casegoods collection for Steelcase Wood Furniture.

Mr. Riveire’s professional experience includes work with 3D/International in Houston and with both the Houston and Los Angeles offices of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). While at SOM, Riveire served as Senior Designer on prestigious projects such as the widely published Transamerica Criterion, Inc. headquarters in Houston, law offices of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles - Interior Design magazine’s Project of the Year, the City Club on Bunker Hill, and the flagship branch of First Interstate Bank in First Interstate World Center. In 1990, Riveire joined Keating Mann Jernigan Rottet as a founding principal. The firm merged with Daniel, Mann, Johnson, & Mendenhall (DMJM) in 1994. Then, in 2008, Riveire and Rottet joined forces with DMJM Rottet colleague, Kelie Mayfield, IIDA, and long-time SOM design executive, David Davis, AIA, to form the privately-held interior architecture and design practice, Rottet Studio.
