Kelie Mayfield has practiced interior design and architecture for more than12 years in the national and international design industry. Ms. Mayfield’s architectural background complements her very creative approach to the programming, planning, and design of her award-winning projects.
Ms. Mayfield goes to great lengths to understand the client’s culture and develop an office design that reflects the particular brand and image of that client. She is always thinking of new ways to utilize quality design to achieve the client’s goals down to the smallest detail. Ms. Mayfield’s exceptional architectural and management skills are reflected in her diverse portfolio.
In addition to a variety of commercial projects, her portfolio includes large scale master planning, residential, and retail projects. Her unique approach and professionalism have earned her a dedicated design team, repeat clients, and several award-winning projects.
Ms. Mayfield’s architectural experience includes a year of study in Saintes, France, where she worked on a large master-planned city park project and historical residential renovation. She also spent a year as a designer with world-renowned architect Enric Miralles at EMBT Architects in Barcelona, Spain, working on a number of projects ranging from large-scale commercial projects to residential housing. In addition Ms. Mayfield has also taught architectural design and drawing classes at both Louisiana Tech University and University of Houston.
Mayfield joined DMJM Rottet in 2000, shortly after the Houston office opened. She served as Associate Principal with the firm until joining long-time colleagues Lauren Rottet, FAIA; Richard Riveire, AIA and former Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) New York design executive, David Davis, AIA as Principal of the privately-held interior architecture and design firm, Rottet Studio.
