David Davis has more than 20 years experience as a designer and project manager. He brings an extensive portfolio of hospitality and corporate interior projects to Rottet Studio. As Managing Principal, Mr. Davis oversees the active and diverse interior architecture and design practice of the firm’s seven offices in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Washington DC, San Francisco, Scottsdale and Shanghai. Prior to his transition into project management, Davis was an active participant in the design of multiple projects of varying scales, including high-rise towers in the United States and abroad. His project management experience includes numerous projects for high profile corporate clients, among them MetLife, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, CIBC World Markets, First Union National Bank, Ziff-Davis Publishing, Conde Nast, and Deloitte. Mr. Davis also brings a wealth of hospitality design and management experience, including the Four Seasons City Santa Fe in Mexico City, the Hilton Mangaf Resort in Kuwait, Hyatt Regency Global Headquarters in Chicago, James Hotels in New York and Miami Beach, and W Hotel and condominium projects in La Jolla, Huntington Beach and Denver. Mr. Davis began his career in 1985 in the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). He later moved to Los Angeles to work on the Getty Center with Richard Meier & Partners. Eventually, Davis returned to SOM to head their interior design department in New York. Davis left SOM in 2008 to join Lauren Rottet, FAIA, Richard Riveire, AIA and Kelie Mayfield in the privately-held interior architecture and design firm, Rottet Studio.
